SOURJOE
The Interactive Baker's App
By home bakers, for home bakers.

OUR STORY
What started out as a mutual interest between father and son in the fascinating world of sourdough quickly became obsession, because - like most crafts - the learning curve for making consistent and well-formed sourdough is long and steep. An engineer by training, Joe spent his little spare time developing a program with calculators for hydration, temperature prediction, and nutrition down to the slice. It took them no time to realize the potential this program had to help all home bakers.

Questions are natural, just like sourdough.
WHAT DOES THE SOURJOE APP ACTUALLY DO?
The SOURJOE Interactive Baker's App is a sourdough bakers' online baking tool. The tool acts as a baker's log, a repository of sourdough recipes (from SOURJOE and from the User), a record of every bake done by the User as well as an extensive knowledge database of all things sourdough. That way you can troubleshoot, track your progress, and try new things at your own pace.
WILL I HAVE TO DODGE ADS AND POP-UPS TO USE THE TOOL?
Nope! SOURJOE is a Member only site. Members pay a small fee to be part of SOURJOE. Members' information is never sold or shared with any third parties. No advertising is used to pay for the site - the entire App is funded by Membership dues and no Members will see ads, pop-ups, emails or any other marketing annoyances from any sources. WHAT IF I NEED HELP IN THE MIDDLE OF A RECIPE?
Every step of every recipe has a description and an instructional GIF that plays on repeat. If you have more of a 'why' question than a 'how', you can leave a recipe running while you explore the Related Articles in our Info section, which includes introduction all the way to experienced level information on the practice, history, science, terminology and glossary of all things sourdough.
