ABOUT US
We are a father (Joe) and son (Aaron) duo that have a shared passion for sourdough. Joe has spent his life tinkering with gadgets, developing software, and marvelling at the peculiarities of the natural world. When Aaron's not experimenting with fermentation, he's reading about it. When the family gets together and we all sit down to eat, us two tend to be the only ones left four hours later. Naturally, this is where the idea for SOURJOE was formed.
OUR MISSION
From the beginning, we've had one main goal: bring the recipe to life in the home kitchen. The modern home baker has to sift through blogs, videos, articles, and message boards all while being inundated with ads and pop ups that jerk the page around. Recipe books are wonderful and gorgeous, but often unwieldy and cumbersome. All of these options are great at one thing and lack desperately in all others. SOURJOE is here to bridge the gap between all these media to give Users the best possible experience.

We're committed to making this App useful and accessible to all home kitchens and all home bakers, from young to old, beginner to pro. Who would know those parameters better than a couple of obsessive nerds who started from scratch? We want to encourage people to push their boundaries, experiment, and experience the joy and pride from baking a nutritious and very delicious loaf of bread that you can share with others and will nourish your body and your soul (it sounds tacky, but most simple truths are). There's a reason why in many languages the word 'bread' is synonymous with the word 'life'.
